Pipeline Armoring

An exposed 20" pipeline in Louisiana presented unique challenges. The pipeline exposure was located on a hillside in rural Louisiana. The exposure was caused by eroded gullies caused by concentrated sheet flow and ATV traffic.

All materials required for the repair needed transported over a mile on a haul road. The concrete erosion mat, Flexamat® Plus, was chosen for the repair. The tied concrete block mat is packaged in rolls of custom sizes. Morooka Buggies hauled the rolls to the project site.

8' x 50' rolls of Flexamat® Plus were used to armor the terraces and channels.
